Top ten football revenues- NCAA

As i've talked about before, the massive revenue certain sports teams bring in for college institutions is remarkable. Also, this is just another reason why these such programs get such great treatment and attention from our national media and the school itself. In order of the top ten football program revenues in this country is 1) Texas $47,556,281
2) Tennessee $46,704,719
3) Ohio State $46,242,355
4) Florida $42,710,967
5) Georgia $42,104,214
6) Alabama $39,848,836
7) Notre Dame $38,596,090
8) Michigan $38,547,937
9) LSU $38,381,625
10) Auburn $37,173,943
The numbers are astounding and it truly shows how much money a good, winning program brings in to a school. Most of the revenue goes right back into the program but the schools do see a great profit from the teams. These numbers are from 2003-2004 and i believe the only thing that has changed since then is that these numbers have increased.
These schools put great pride and effort into their sporting events and as most will say, a saturday at an SEC football game is something you have to experience first hand. It is a total subculture of great food, drinks, and crazy fans rooting for their teams. These big schools across the country all have remarkable facilities and most in due to the revenue they have brought in over the years. In turn good facilities brings in recruits, which equals winning seasons, which means more money and the whole thing is a big cycle, with the two main components being winning and money.
